Colorectal Surgeon - Proctologist
Dr. Aldo Sol Medina Ruffolo studied medicine at the UNC university in Mendoza, Argentina. He then initiated his training to become a surgeon in different medical centers in Mendoza: The Ferroviario Hospital, The Velez Sarsfield Hospital and the Bonorino Udaondo Hospital, to become a gastroenterology (stomage and internal organs) surgeon. He continued the surgical specialist training for colon and rectum diseases and took the exam at the Argentinian Association for Coloproctology, to become a specialist surgeon in that field.
Following this final exam Dr. Aldo Sol Medina Ruffolo went on for further special training in pelvic floor surgery at the Cleveland Clinic in Florida, USA and the Universidad de Valparaíso, Chile.
He has been a member of the staff at Procthos Clinics in Mendoza, Argentina for the last 19 years, and he is also a member and founder of the Mendoza Society of Coloproctology, before he decided to move to Malaga and join the team of the private medical clinic Clinica Sandalf.
Dr. Aldo Sol Medina Ruffolo is a specialist for anus, rectum and colon diseases such as haemorrhoids, fistulas and fissures. He performs alternative outpatient surgical procedures like rubber bands,
laser surgery, sexually transmitted infections and diagnosis and treatment of colon cancer.
